I can finally breath... well a little. I have officially finished this class other than the final. I can say that I have learned a LOT, but glad we are wrapping this class up. I have a whole list of resources that I will be pulling from for my current position of UBMS Coordinator. Some of my students aren't going to know what hit them when I start implementing some of these new resources. I will say I like the fact that this class was more project orientated instead of just writing papers. It made for a nice semester to not have to do anything but read and write. I have to admit it was a challenging class, but I feel so accomplished now that it is ending. I am ready to start the final and see the final outcome on my grade.

Wooohoooo!!! I am halfway through this class. It has been a roller coaster for sure! I am just now starting to feel settled with this class. I am one of those got to get ahead and stay a head type of student. This class has been almost impossible for me to stay ahead. But, in the last week I have finally gotten a little ahead and not had to work hours and hours on this class. I have gotten to take a few breaks this week and enjoy a little HGTV. (My husband probably wishes I would get back to my homework... I may or may not have decided we are going to do a little remolding project in the upcoming month.) However, I will have to hit it hard again next week to continue with this feeling, but a short little happy break is a GREAT thing for everyone! (Bring on Spring Break!)
I must admit even though this class has made me feel a little like a crazy person, I have learned so much. I have made a list of resource just to use this summer with my UBMS Summer Program. Because of this class, I am ahead at work on planning a summer program! That is a HUGE plus!! I also think our students will like the fact that they are going to have some new things to try out. With all that said, I can't wait to see what other resources will be added to my list of must try! I mean in seven weeks I have planned two weeks worth of projects. Hopefully, now that I don't feel so overwhelmed with this class, it will be smoothing sailing from here! We are finishing week two in ED 510. This has already been a scary class!! Lots of new "techy" things that we are already learning, such as Weebly! I have already gotten frustrated with this class more than once. Let me recap.. this is JUST the second week of class. I have already called a classmate to ask what are we going to do???? She gave me a peep talk, and said we will be fine! She is right. I have finished "creating" this portfolio, well enough to make me feel better. It is ready (or at least I think it is) to start showcasing what we will be learning in this class! I have gotten my blank canvas started. I have done the part that is the hardest for me, getting starting! I now have something that I can start molding! I am interested to see how much it changes by the end of the semester.
I am ready to learn from this class. If you read the one sentence under my name, in the little about me section of this page, you will see my motto for this semester and the class. I am looking for options! I am looking for options for my UBMS students. I want to have better ways to communicate with them. They are located in nine different schools in our surrounding area. A webpage that I control may be one of the next projects at work for them. It would be a place I could post announcement videos or just motivational things. I want options for a career path. I am not saying I am changing my career path, but I want options! I am tired of feeling tied to just one job or one dream! So, when I get frustrated. I am going to stop and think, I want options! I am READY to learn! |
